Last year most property sales in Brighton involved flats which sold for on average £217,570. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £341,388, while semi-detached properties fetched £352,808.

Brighton, with an overall average price of £296,908, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kemp Town (£285,419) and Patcham (£299,922), but was cheaper than Preston Park (£323,843).

During the last year, sold prices in Brighton were 5% up on the previous year and 4% up on 2010 when the average house price was £284,777.
