Last year most property sales in Brighton involved flats which sold for on average £244,351. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £398,464, while semi-detached properties fetched £415,767.
Brighton, with an overall average price of £339,758, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Patcham (£350,353), but was more expensive than Kemp Town (£317,460) and cheaper than Preston Park (£367,493).
During the last year, sold prices in Brighton were 12% up on the previous year and 17% up on 2012 when the average house price was £290,228.
