Last year most property sales in Brighton involved flats which sold for on average £264,682. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £438,628, while semi-detached properties fetched £369,778.
Brighton, with an overall average price of £357,437, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kemp Town (£363,287), but was more expensive than Brighton Marina (£336,442) and cheaper than Preston Park (£388,013).
During the last year, sold prices in Brighton were 7% up on the previous year and 23% up on 2013 when the average house price was £291,572.
