Last year most property sales in Brighton involved flats which sold for on average £250,244. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £407,468, while semi-detached properties fetched £351,943.
Brighton, with an overall average price of £337,209, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kemp Town (£336,034), but was cheaper than Brighton Marina (£355,399) and Preston Park (£377,717).
During the last year, sold prices in Brighton were 10% up on the previous year and 20% up on 2012 when the average house price was £280,928.
