Last year most property sales in Buckinghamshire involved detached properties which sold for on average £501,223. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £259,680, while terraced properties fetched £215,587.

Buckinghamshire, with an overall average price of £315,604, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Oxfordshire (£317,878) and Berkshire (£304,345), but was cheaper than Surrey (£392,389). The priciest area within Buckinghamshire was Chalfont St. Giles (£830,740) and the least expensive was Oldbrook (£155,974).

During the last year, sold prices in Buckinghamshire were 5% up on the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £311,174.
