Most of the sales in Caerwent over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £265,281. Flats had an average sold price of £60,292 and terraced properties averaged at £252,550.
Caerwent, with an overall average price of £211,414 was more expensive than nearby Caldicot (£190,187) and Rogiet (£182,388), but was cheaper than Crick (£301,833).
In the past year house prices in Caerwent were 15% down on the year before and 21% down on 2012 when they averaged at £266,364.
