Most of the sales in Caerwent over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £294,786. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £174,332 and flats averaged at £108,500.
Caerwent, with an overall average price of £253,444 was more expensive than nearby Caldicot (£192,967) and Rogiet (£190,263), but was cheaper than Crick (£357,500).
In the past year house prices in Caerwent were 4% up on the year before and 5% down on 2012 when they averaged at £266,364.
