Most of the sales in Caerwent over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £286,592. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £172,799 and flats averaged at £108,500.
Caerwent, with an overall average price of £248,807 was more expensive than nearby Caldicot (£190,440) and Rogiet (£191,447), but was cheaper than Crick (£357,500).
In the past year house prices in Caerwent were similar to the year before and 7% down on 2012 when they averaged at £266,364.
