Most of the sales in Chichester over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £305,421. Flats had an average sold price of £199,022 and detached properties averaged at £436,567.

Chichester, with an overall average price of £296,820 was more expensive than nearby Tangmere (£220,266), but was cheaper than Fishbourne (£341,909) and Lavant (£387,653).

In the past year house prices in Chichester were 5% up on the year before and 7% up on 2010 when they averaged at £276,287.
