Last year most property sales in Cullercoats involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £203,758. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £216,597, while flats fetched £141,958.
Cullercoats, with an overall average price of £203,458 was more expensive than nearby North Shields (£172,710), but was cheaper than Tynemouth (£255,417) and Monkseaton (£234,953).
During the last year, sold prices in Cullercoats were 7% up on the previous year and 10% up on 2006 when the average house price was £185,123.
