Last year most property sales in Cullercoats involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £193,924. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £223,218, while flats fetched £118,382.
Cullercoats, with an overall average price of £195,434 was more expensive than nearby North Shields (£166,429), but was cheaper than Tynemouth (£229,974) and Monkseaton (£219,159).
During the last year, sold prices in Cullercoats were similar to the previous year and 6% up on 2006 when the average house price was £185,123.
