Last year most property sales in Cullercoats involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £199,752. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £213,028, while flats fetched £115,423.
Cullercoats, with an overall average price of £194,419 was more expensive than nearby North Shields (£167,766), but was cheaper than Tynemouth (£230,586) and Monkseaton (£210,325).
During the last year, sold prices in Cullercoats were 6% up on the previous year and 5% up on 2006 when the average house price was £185,123.
