Most of the sales in Cwmavon over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £183,978. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £97,850 and terraced properties averaged at £82,666.
Cwmavon, with an overall average price of £129,269 was more expensive than nearby Cwmafan (£116,795) and Port Talbot (£100,829), but was cheaper than Baglan (£136,091).
In the past year house prices in Cwmavon were 18% up on the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £132,270.
