Most of the sales in Danbury over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £587,269. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £318,806 and flats averaged at £189,546.
Danbury, with an overall average price of £496,805 was more expensive than nearby Bicknacre (£317,351) and Sandon (£447,841), but was cheaper than Little Baddow (£856,250).
In the past year house prices in Danbury were 4% down on the year before and 14% up on 2007 when they averaged at £434,439.
