Most of the sales in Devon over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £170,556. Detached properties had an average sold price of £315,335 and semi-detached properties averaged at £194,336.

Devon, with an overall average price of £215,361, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Cornwall (£220,940), but was cheaper than Somerset (£228,204) and Dorset (£255,029). The most expensive area within Devon was Salcombe (£562,167) and the cheapest was Devonport (£135,683).

In the past year house prices in Devon were similar to the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £219,812.
