Most of the sales in East Cowes over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £150,532. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £168,491 and detached properties averaged at £218,323.
East Cowes, with an overall average price of £166,624 was cheaper than nearby Cowes (£244,948), Northwood (£260,441) and Gurnard (£308,505).
In the past year house prices in East Cowes were similar to the year before and 7% down on 2008 when they averaged at £179,486.
