Most of the sales in Elephant and Castle over the past year were flats which on average sold for £383,640. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £754,449 and semi-detached properties averaged at £1,000,500.
Elephant and Castle, with an overall average price of £442,753, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Newington (£432,299), but was more expensive than Walworth (£396,246) and cheaper than The Borough (£650,941).
In the past year house prices in Elephant and Castle were 20% up on the year before and 29% up on 2010 when they averaged at £342,476.
