Last year most property sales in Exeter involved terraced properties which sold for on average £224,876. Flats sold for an average price of £160,453, while detached properties fetched £381,621.
Exeter, with an overall average price of £247,285, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Exminster (£256,373) and Broadclyst (£249,003), but was cheaper than Topsham (£398,649).
During the last year, sold prices in Exeter were 5% up on the previous year and 17% up on 2013 when the average house price was £211,499.
