Most of the sales in Gloucester over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £182,027. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £148,453 and detached properties averaged at £272,323.
Gloucester, with an overall average price of £184,464 was cheaper than nearby Barnwood (£218,811), Abbeymead (£207,503) and Longlevens (£212,528).
In the past year house prices in Gloucester were 6% up on the year before and 8% up on 2007 when they averaged at £171,584.
