Most of the sales in Hale End over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £393,539. Flats had an average sold price of £214,499 and semi-detached properties averaged at £502,011.
Hale End, with an overall average price of £382,493 was more expensive than nearby Highams Park (£315,541) and Waltham Forest (£355,249), but was cheaper than Oakhill (£402,074).
In the past year house prices in Hale End were 15% up on the year before and 29% up on 2008 when they averaged at £297,207.
