Most of the sales in Hassocks over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £437,328. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £335,469 and flats averaged at £187,442.

Hassocks, with an overall average price of £346,838 was more expensive than nearby Burgess Hill (£264,960) and Haywards Heath (£301,580), but was cheaper than Hurstpierpoint (£387,246).

In the past year house prices in Hassocks were 15% up on the year before and similar to 2008 when they averaged at £342,770.
