Last year most property sales in Hastings involved terraced properties which sold for on average £156,520. Flats sold for an average price of £100,660, while detached properties fetched £247,073.

Hastings, with an overall average price of £167,922, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby St. Leonards-On-Sea (£169,737), but was more expensive than St Leonards Green (£137,833) and cheaper than Sedlescombe (£317,644).

During the last year, sold prices in Hastings were 4% up on the previous year and 3% up on 2010 when the average house price was £162,837.
