The majority of sales in Hertfordshire during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £338,021. Flats sold for an average of £239,305, with semi-detached properties fetching £439,489.
Hertfordshire, with an overall average price of £407,025 was more expensive than nearby Bedfordshire (£256,456), Essex (£299,969) and Cambridgeshire (£273,111). The most expensive area within Hertfordshire was Little Gaddesden (£1,207,545) and the cheapest was Stevenage (£255,891).
Overall sold prices in Hertfordshire over the last year were 9% up on the previous year and 22% up on the 2013 level of £333,493.
