The majority of sales in Hertfordshire during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £311,479. Flats sold for an average of £217,873, with semi-detached properties fetching £411,150.
Hertfordshire, with an overall average price of £382,543 was more expensive than nearby Bedfordshire (£244,164), Essex (£280,929) and Cambridgeshire (£261,700). The most expensive area within Hertfordshire was Little Gaddesden (£1,029,570) and the cheapest was Stevenage (£233,300).
Overall sold prices in Hertfordshire over the last year were 8% up on the previous year and 19% up on the 2012 level of £322,228.
