The majority of sales in Hertfordshire during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £295,392. Flats sold for an average of £205,575, with semi-detached properties fetching £387,529.
Hertfordshire, with an overall average price of £360,672 was more expensive than nearby Bedfordshire (£226,080), Essex (£264,762) and Cambridgeshire (£247,231). The most expensive area within Hertfordshire was Northaw (£1,279,330) and the cheapest was Stevenage (£219,527).
Overall sold prices in Hertfordshire over the last year were 8% up on the previous year and 12% up on the 2012 level of £322,220.
