Last year most property sales in Islington involved flats which sold for on average £558,959. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £1,342,566, while semi-detached properties fetched £1,822,355.
Islington, with an overall average price of £707,667 was more expensive than nearby Haringey (£526,652), Barnet (£557,302) and Enfield (£374,525). The priciest area within Islington was Aldersgate (£1,080,000) and the least expensive was St Lukes (£485,875).
During the last year, sold prices in Islington were 12% up on the previous year and 40% up on 2012 when the average house price was £503,880.
