Last year most property sales in Islington involved flats which sold for on average £554,412. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £1,316,085, while semi-detached properties fetched £1,768,642.
Islington, with an overall average price of £692,892 was more expensive than nearby Haringey (£528,429), Barnet (£559,554) and Enfield (£373,937). The priciest area within Islington was Aldersgate (£1,080,000) and the least expensive was Finsbury Park (£516,000).
During the last year, sold prices in Islington were 11% up on the previous year and 38% up on 2012 when the average house price was £503,880.
