Last year most property sales in Islington involved flats which sold for on average £539,878. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £1,260,079, while semi-detached properties fetched £1,709,163.
Islington, with an overall average price of £676,014 was more expensive than nearby Haringey (£528,661), Barnet (£545,106) and Enfield (£351,276). The priciest area within Islington was EC2 (£936,152) and the least expensive was Lower Holloway (£478,776).
During the last year, sold prices in Islington were 15% up on the previous year and 30% up on 2012 when the average house price was £520,219.
