Last year most property sales in Islington involved flats which sold for on average £546,228. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £1,286,929, while semi-detached properties fetched £1,740,681.
Islington, with an overall average price of £690,847 was more expensive than nearby Haringey (£538,710), Barnet (£556,208) and Enfield (£366,868). The priciest area within Islington was Aldersgate (£956,000) and the least expensive was Lower Holloway (£518,180).
During the last year, sold prices in Islington were 15% up on the previous year and 33% up on 2012 when the average house price was £520,431.
