Most of the sales in Kensington over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £75,819. Flats had an average sold price of £77,300 and semi-detached properties averaged at £138,688.

Kensington, with an overall average price of £79,880, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Toxteth (£82,420), but was cheaper than Wavertree (£117,878) and Liverpool City Centre (£130,428).

In the past year house prices in Kensington were 8% down on the year before and 11% down on 2007 when they averaged at £89,988.
