Most of the sales in Lowestoft over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £111,212. Detached properties had an average sold price of £202,128 and semi-detached properties averaged at £146,955.
Lowestoft, with an overall average price of £152,606 was cheaper than nearby Oulton Broad (£163,592), Pakefield (£164,170) and Carlton Colville (£168,816).
In the past year house prices in Lowestoft were 6% up on the year before and 3% up on 2008 when they averaged at £148,158.
