Most of the sales in Matlock over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £295,864. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £144,956 and semi-detached properties averaged at £170,629.

Matlock, with an overall average price of £205,715 was more expensive than nearby Matlock Bath (£171,583) and Cromford (£166,190), but was cheaper than Darley Dale (£217,059).

In the past year house prices in Matlock were 6% up on the year before and 5% down on 2010 when they averaged at £215,689.
