Most of the sales in Matlock over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £314,891. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £189,108 and terraced properties averaged at £176,764.
Matlock, with an overall average price of £233,873 was more expensive than nearby Matlock Bath (£218,389) and Cromford (£186,828), but was cheaper than Darley Dale (£270,817).
In the past year house prices in Matlock were 9% up on the year before and 9% up on 2010 when they averaged at £214,366.
