Most of the sales in Meltham over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £158,422. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £116,427 and detached properties averaged at £204,640.

Meltham, with an overall average price of £157,609 was more expensive than nearby Netherton (£138,774) and Linthwaite (£132,744), but was cheaper than Honley (£187,094).

In the past year house prices in Meltham were similar to the year before and 12% down on 2007 when they averaged at £178,155.
