Most of the sales in Newcastle Under Lyme over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £148,728. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £99,918 and detached properties averaged at £240,852.
Newcastle Under Lyme, with an overall average price of £156,075 was more expensive than nearby Audley (£143,118) and Stoke-On-Trent (£128,799), but was cheaper than Keele (£289,405).
In the past year house prices in Newcastle Under Lyme were 5% up on the year before and 8% up on 2008 when they averaged at £144,089.
