The majority of sales in Northampton during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £132,452. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £149,374, with detached properties fetching £248,878.

Northampton, with an overall average price of £165,058, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Abington (£164,088), but was more expensive than Kingsthorpe (£147,654) and cheaper than Hardingstone (£210,258).

Overall sold prices in Northampton over the last year were similar to the previous year and similar to the 2007 level of £168,883.
