Last year most property sales in Ongar involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £272,673. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £237,929, while detached properties fetched £474,666.

Ongar, with an overall average price of £282,079, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Chipping Ongar (£286,805) and North Weald Bassett (£277,298), but was cheaper than Fyfield (£451,000).
