Most of the sales in Petworth over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £713,727. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £292,807 and semi-detached properties averaged at £371,743.

Petworth, with an overall average price of £485,549 was more expensive than nearby Midhurst (£284,937), South Downs (£355,669) and Wisborough Green (£459,265).

In the past year house prices in Petworth were 26% up on the year before and 10% down on 2010 when they averaged at £541,922.
