Last year most property sales in Plymouth involved terraced properties which sold for on average £159,077. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £183,414, while flats fetched £121,665.
Plymouth, with an overall average price of £175,706 was cheaper than nearby Peverell (£190,843), Derriford (£241,209) and Plymstock (£226,288).
During the last year, sold prices in Plymouth were 8% up on the previous year and 5% up on 2007 when the average house price was £167,683.
