Most of the sales in Reading over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £243,504. Flats had an average sold price of £185,576 and semi-detached properties averaged at £315,501.
Reading, with an overall average price of £279,134 was cheaper than nearby Caversham (£344,037), Earley (£314,907) and Emmer Green (£367,780).
In the past year house prices in Reading were 11% up on the year before and 14% up on 2012 when they averaged at £244,667.
