Most of the sales in Reading over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £282,590. Flats had an average sold price of £213,695 and semi-detached properties averaged at £354,410.
Reading, with an overall average price of £317,394 was cheaper than nearby Caversham (£406,591), Earley (£362,129) and Emmer Green (£416,752).
In the past year house prices in Reading were 13% up on the year before and 28% up on 2013 when they averaged at £247,636.
