Last year most property sales in Risca involved terraced properties which sold for on average £90,391. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £99,184, while detached properties fetched £172,818.

Risca, with an overall average price of £104,634 was more expensive than nearby Cross Keys (£89,818) and Pontywaun (£86,869), but was cheaper than Lower Machen (£310,000).
