Most of the sales in Rowlands Gill over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £169,305. Detached properties had an average sold price of £344,768 and terraced properties averaged at £124,964.
Rowlands Gill, with an overall average price of £216,029, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Whickham (£215,106), but was more expensive than Blaydon (£148,929) and Ryton (£156,670).
In the past year house prices in Rowlands Gill were 28% up on the year before and 13% up on 2015 when they averaged at £190,506.
