Most of the sales in Royston over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £247,748. Flats had an average sold price of £152,097 and detached properties averaged at £409,418.
Royston, with an overall average price of £268,378, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bassingbourn (£265,881), but was cheaper than Meldreth (£451,035) and Steeple Morden (£458,195).
In the past year house prices in Royston were similar to the year before and 11% up on 2012 when they averaged at £242,598.
