Most of the sales in Sandown over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £196,634. Flats had an average sold price of £110,198 and semi-detached properties averaged at £154,917.

Sandown, with an overall average price of £152,934, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Lake (£152,934), but was cheaper than Alverstone Garden Village (£335,625) and Shanklin (£183,037).

In the past year house prices in Sandown were similar to the year before and 14% down on 2007 when they averaged at £178,609.
