The majority of sales in Scarborough during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £140,914. Terraced properties sold for an average of £113,458, with flats fetching £100,413.

Scarborough, with an overall average price of £133,607 was cheaper than nearby Filey (£149,342), Thornton Dale (£222,266) and Robin Hoods Bay (£221,444).

Overall sold prices in Scarborough over the last year were similar to the previous year and 10% down on the 2007 level of £149,178.
