Last year most property sales in Sherborne involved terraced properties which sold for on average £254,687. Detached properties sold for an average price of £410,773, while semi-detached properties fetched £287,133.
Sherborne, with an overall average price of £294,958, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Charlton Horethorne (£282,938), but was more expensive than Milborne Port (£249,495) and cheaper than Marnhull (£431,801).
During the last year, sold prices in Sherborne were 4% up on the previous year and 3% down on 2013 when the average house price was £304,172.
