Most of the sales in Southport over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £160,376. Detached properties had an average sold price of £283,030 and flats averaged at £121,934.
Southport, with an overall average price of £179,742, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Churchtown (£178,407), but was more expensive than Meols Cop (£169,196) and cheaper than Birkdale (£207,308).
In the past year house prices in Southport were 7% up on the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £182,739.
