Most of the sales in Strood over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £137,705. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £179,454 and detached properties averaged at £286,061.

Strood, with an overall average price of £164,971 was cheaper than nearby Rochester (£180,001), Wainscott (£198,087) and Upnor (£323,000).

In the past year house prices in Strood were similar to the year before and 6% down on 2007 when they averaged at £175,066.
