Most of the sales in Tenterden over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £454,890. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £229,193 and terraced properties averaged at £224,374.

Tenterden, with an overall average price of £351,974, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Biddenden (£361,483), but was more expensive than Woodchurch (£288,733) and cheaper than Smarden (£538,688).

In the past year house prices in Tenterden were 14% up on the year before and 7% up on 2010 when they averaged at £330,092.
