Last year most property sales in Upper Shirley involved flats which sold for on average £187,406. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £276,811, while detached properties fetched £629,674.
Upper Shirley, with an overall average price of £308,074, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Shirley (£316,282), but was more expensive than Croydon (£231,442) and Addiscombe (£230,278).
During the last year, sold prices in Upper Shirley were similar to the previous year and 8% down on 2010 when the average house price was £333,077.
