Most of the sales in Walton over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £286,163. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £170,551 and terraced properties averaged at £139,990.
Walton, with an overall average price of £239,172, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Holymoorside (£241,054), but was more expensive than Chesterfield (£168,825) and Wingerworth (£227,145).
In the past year house prices in Walton were 3% up on the year before and 6% up on 2014 when they averaged at £226,119.
