Last year most property sales in Wellington involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £119,768. Detached properties sold for an average price of £206,960, while terraced properties fetched £119,583.

Wellington, with an overall average price of £143,400, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Telford (£146,858), but was cheaper than Leegomery (£165,049) and Telford And Wrekin (£154,587).

During the last year, sold prices in Wellington were similar to the previous year and 11% down on 2008 when the average house price was £161,231.
