Last year most property sales in Widnes involved detached properties which sold for on average £253,772. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £96,035, while semi-detached properties fetched £141,696.
Widnes, with an overall average price of £165,175 was more expensive than nearby Sandymoor (£145,059) and Runcorn (£122,400), but was cheaper than Cronton (£286,141).
During the last year, sold prices in Widnes were 6% up on the previous year and 11% up on 2010 when the average house price was £148,377.
