Last year most property sales in Wilton involved terraced properties which sold for on average £199,938. Detached properties sold for an average price of £339,901, while flats fetched £140,306.
Wilton, with an overall average price of £239,082 was more expensive than nearby Amesbury (£209,724), but was cheaper than Salisbury (£252,775) and Alderbury (£276,511).
During the last year, sold prices in Wilton were 14% up on the previous year and 12% down on 2008 when the average house price was £270,344.
