Last year most property sales in Wirral involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £160,749. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £107,942, while detached properties fetched £285,276.
Wirral, with an overall average price of £168,615 was more expensive than nearby Bebington (£154,996) and Port Sunlight (£145,513), but was cheaper than Spital (£213,237).
During the last year, sold prices in Wirral were 4% up on the previous year and similar to 2008 when the average house price was £164,634.
