Last year most property sales in Wirral involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £168,671. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £114,992, while detached properties fetched £295,758.
Wirral, with an overall average price of £175,234 was more expensive than nearby Bebington (£165,596), but was cheaper than Spital (£243,551) and Heswall (£287,495).
During the last year, sold prices in Wirral were similar to the previous year and 7% up on 2008 when the average house price was £163,581.
