Last year most property sales in Wirral involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £167,575. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £114,519, while detached properties fetched £295,669.
Wirral, with an overall average price of £175,516 was more expensive than nearby Bebington (£166,417), but was cheaper than Spital (£233,918) and Heswall (£281,044).
During the last year, sold prices in Wirral were similar to the previous year and 7% up on 2008 when the average house price was £164,625.
