Last year most property sales in Yorkshire Dales involved detached properties which sold for on average £338,381. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £201,747, while semi-detached properties fetched £232,052.

Yorkshire Dales, with an overall average price of £256,051, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Grassington (£265,800), but was more expensive than Hawes (£221,792) and Settle (£186,323).

During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire Dales were 3% up on the previous year and 3% down on 2007 when the average house price was £265,253.
