Last year most property sales in Yorkshire Dales involved terraced properties which sold for on average £202,003. Detached properties sold for an average price of £362,032, while semi-detached properties fetched £243,784.
Yorkshire Dales, with an overall average price of £264,471 was more expensive than nearby Hawes (£219,926), Reeth (£197,816) and Settle (£220,829).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire Dales were 5% up on the previous year and similar to 2007 when the average house price was £265,643.
