Area:
Olhos de Agua is a quaint fishing village 5km to the east of Albufeira, and about the same distance to Vilamoura. Backed by fragrant pine forests, Olhos de Agua is Albufeira’s greener neighbour. With its winds ideal for windsurfing, the long Praia da Falesia beach never gets overcrowded and you can also visit the 'Eye of the Water', a freshwater spring exposed among the rocks at low tide. The main street runs down to the beach where fishermen launch their boats each day, and the catch finds its way to the excellent local restaurants and quite a few bars. It's a quaint little place, typically Portuguese fishing village.
Nearby is the area known as Praia da Falesia, with its wonderful long sandy beach which stretches all the way to Vilamoura!

Golf:
Olhos de Agua is situated in the Central Algarve and is surrounded by world class golf courses, accessible by car. Vilamoura is approximately a 20 minute drive away.
The Central Algarve contains the resorts of Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. The exclusive Quinta do Lago estate is the busiest golf area in Europe with 72 holes shared by four excellent 18-hole courses, two of which are listed in the 25 best golf courses in Europe. There are also lots of first class restaurants, top nightclubs, and the Bourganvilla Shopping Centre. And if you want to do nothing at all, there is a beautiful two mile stretch of golden sand as well as endless unspoilt countryside.
Vale do Lobo covers 4,000 acres and includes five golf courses, tennis courts, a riding school, fishing and shooting facilities, and indoor and outdoor sports complexes. The focal point is the large marina, which is fronted by some very good restaurants, cafes and shops. The nightlife is lively, cosmopolitan and varied with a great mix of bars, clubs and restaurants.
