When you come into Ellwood ignore your Sat Nav but look out for the Primary School. Opposite the Primary School is Fern Road, turn into Fern Road and take the right hand fork, this will lead you directly to Well Cottage.
The cottage is situated in the rural hamlet of Ellwood which is set to the south east of Coleford. Ellwood has Ellwood Community Primary School and Ellwood Football Club and is a short drive away from the market town of Coleford. Coleford itself has a whole range of shops and amenities to cater for most requirements including a launderette, butchers, pharmacy, three Churches, a large selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways as well as Coleford GWR Museum.
