The city is situated in the west of the ancient Macedonian town of Mieza and the site of ancient School of Aristotle. The area, according to Herodotus, was where the fertile Gardens of King Midas were located. The mountainous areas around the settlement are covered by rich vegetation as well as peach, apple and cherry orchards. The city is famous for its beautiful parks, the majestic grove of St. Nickolas, the traditional carnival and great wine. Naoussa is also one of Greece’s top winter destinations as the ski-resort of 3-5 Pigadia is just a 20-minute drive away. More specifically, the location “Choras Nero” where the villa is situated, has taken its name by a natural spring which supply with water the whole area.
