Around the house are sited several mature olive trees, some of which may be over 100 years old. There is plenty of space on the first terrace for extra olive trees to be planted. The annual crop of olives can produce up to 100 litres of olive oil in a good year. Picking of olives can be done by the owners of the house or by friendly locals in return for a share in the oil.

Due to the location, it offers a 360 degrees views and especially from the Aloni (BBQ) area. Exquisite views include mountains, sea views and village houses coupled with churches. The house is located away from the village and there are no neighbours in the area, it offers great tranquillity.

The main house has a large, fully equipped kitchen with large windows, a downstairs toilet and a large sitting room with an attractive fire place. The sitting room has 3 sofa beds and a curtained off area for sleeping if required. There is also a grape vine covered sitting out area leading from the sitting room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite). Large windows and balconies offer spectacular views from the bedrooms.

Additional accommodation of 26 sq.m can be used the old stable (shepherd’s cottage), it is legalized and connected to electricity. There is also potential for adding a shower room and toilet. A threshing “Aloni” provides a large barbecue area on the first terrace. The land area around the property allows for further building on the site, subject to planning permission.

LOCATION
Karpathos is one of the most beautiful islands of Dodecanese. It is located on the southern side of the Aegean Sea, between Rhodes and Crete. Due to the secluded location and the distance from the other Greek islands, Karpathos island started developing in the last decades. In fact, the southern side of the island has mostly developed in tourism, while the central and the northern side has remained unspoiled and authentic, with picturesque villages away from mass tourism. Karpathos Greece is mostly famous for the exotic beaches with the golden sand and the crystal water. Holidays in Karpathos are ideal for families and trekkers, as the trekking paths that cross the island leads visitors to amazing spots. International windsurfing trials take place near the airport in AFIARTI and the tourism is currently Spring - Autumn but could easily be all year round. It is well served, in the summer months, with international flights from all over Europe and a regular schedule (air & sea) from Athens (1 hour), Crete (40 mins) & Rhodes (20 mins).
