This unique island is situated in an idyllic location in the Kagerplassen, where you can walk through nature, garden, play golf on the 6-hole pitching golf course, fish, swim, sail, water ski, hunt and rest.

On the owner's parcels of more than 5 hectares of land (52,290m2) there is 1 house. The rest of the entire island is zoned "nature," with maintenance being carried out jointly with the Forestry Commission, for which subsidies are provided.

The Water Board is responsible for water management through mill "De Kok," which stands on the island and maintains the dikes. The mill dates back to 1809.

The former farmhouse was renovated in 2011 into an attractive detached house with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 livings with kitchen. The former stable, in addition to being a sitting room, is excellent as a studio or guest unit.
The large wooden barn (144m2) on the property serves for storage of wood and the necessary machinery/tools needed for the maintenance of the estate.

From the Sassenheim marina it is a 5-minute boat ride to the island, to the very spacious, sheltered dock. In addition, infrastructure is available for the construction of 3 additional jetties. Sassenheim station can be reached by boat within 15 minutes.

On March 9, 1686, the Kogjespolder was founded by merging the water boards "Den Tuyn" and "De Cock. The water board has been responsible for drainage and water management ever since.
